Standing at the doorway
Arms round her shoulders
Chin on her head
In the middle distance
A Japanese maple spreads
Turns her face to the tender morning threads
Gentle rays tease their way
Through her delicate lace dress
Cast small fans on dry ground in distress
Cool breeze whispers
Across still autumnal air
Flirts playfully with her sensual hair
Soft drizzle falls
Gift from God
Snuggles intimately to her welcome nod
We gaze
And share
This is no small affair
